We knew we wanted to have an intimate, casual but elegant wedding with some of our closest family and friends. It took a while to settle on a venue but ultimately, we realized, there was no better place to have our wedding that in the backyard of Chris’s mom’s home. We'd already had a traditional Ghanaian wedding in Aba’s parents backyard in Ghana, so it only made sense to have our American wedding be a backyard wedding as well. We did very little planning because we knew the life of any party is in the people – and we both have great families and friends so we just kept everything simple! No seating plan, no planned moments, just great people, great food and lots of prosecco. Our guests did the rest! Everything unfolded organically, and it was just the most beautiful day, filled with so much love, and joy and happiness! As soon as we saw these photos, all the emotions started rushing back because these photos perfectly capture the full spirit of the day! It was so clear that Danila and Lana really care about the photos they take and the couples they photograph and were fully invested in capturing our story with complete perfection!
