Good day, ladies and gentlemen! Today, I am thrilled to have all of you come along for this beautiful journey to one of New York's best-kept secrets during one of the most beautiful times of the year. This is a scenic engagement shoot going to Queensbridge Park Greenway, where spring is just about to start whispering its greetings to the city. It is that time of the year when a little warmth starts to seep in, yet green has not exploded into its fullness; it is an breathtaking, subtle backdrop that perfectly offsets the softer colors in their outfits.

Meet Portia and Kevin, who add so much color to this already-serene setting with their love story. We met under the Queensboro Bridge, a fantastic view of Roosevelt Island framing our session. To be honest, this is one of my favorite NYC Engagements locations—it’s unbeatable with urban and natural beauty combined.

Portia and Kevin were quite a joy to work with. Their faces were lit up with happiness and love for each other, making it shine even more as an NYC Engagement Photographer. Their tenderly selected outfits emitted light vibes early in the spring, softly inviting and promising.

We started with some of those casual, strolling shots through the park. The sky, which was previously overcast, broke apart as we started walking, with the sun peeking out to warm us with its glow and now to set upon the natural beauty all around us. It was almost as if their love was so bright that the sun could do nothing less than shine upon it!

It felt really great to be able to capture those spontaneous, genuine moments during the afternoon full of laughter and witty repartee that make engagement photos really special. Each frame highlights the natural chemistry between them and the beautiful setting of Queensbridge Park Greenway.

We wrapped up the session feeling like old friends, grateful for the shared moments and excited about the beautiful memories we created together. A huge shout-out to Portia and Kevin for their fantastic energy and for choosing such a stunning location for their engagement shoot. It’s days like these that remind me why I love being an engagement photographer in NYC, especially when I get to work with such amazing couples who are ready to start their forever in style.
