Prospect Park Boathouse & Ace Hotel Wedding | Magalie & Michael

We started off the day with Magalie & Michael at the vibrant Ace Hotel Brooklyn, where both the bride and groom were getting ready for their big day. Michael was in one room with his friends, getting into his sharp wedding suit and sipping whiskey — the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful. At the same time, Magalie was in a nearby suite surrounded by her close family and friends, adding the final touches to her look while everyone laughed and celebrated. The room was filled with music, champagne, and that classic pre-wedding excitement.

Once they were both ready, it was time for their first look. They met downstairs, looking absolutely stunning. Their outfits were modern and stylish, and their reactions were full of emotion. We captured every detail — from the quiet smiles to the happy tears.

Soon after, their friends joined us for some bridal party photos. This group brought such great energy, and we had a blast capturing the connections and excitement. Everyone looked fantastic, and the vibe was celebratory from the start.

We then headed to the Prospect Park Boathouse, one of the most scenic wedding venues in Brooklyn. The terrace overlooking the lake was the perfect setting — guests were arriving, chatting, and enjoying cocktails while we took some romantic pre-ceremony photos of the couple. The location offered beautiful natural backdrops and a calm atmosphere, perfect for capturing the quiet moments before the ceremony.

The ceremony began on the terrace, and it was truly touching. Surrounded by family, friends, and even their beloved dog, Magalie & Michael exchanged vows in a setting that felt personal and meaningful. Every moment was filled with genuine emotion.

After the ceremony, the sun began to set, casting beautiful golden light across the park. We stepped away with the couple for a short walk and made some truly magical sunset portraits near the water — quiet, romantic, and very New York.

Back at the boathouse, the reception kicked off with their first dance. Guests cheered, speeches were made, glasses were raised, and everyone hit the dance floor. The evening turned into a full-on celebration, and it was a joy to witness and document every part of it.

As NYC wedding photographers, we love capturing authentic moments like these — filled with style, soul, and the unmistakable energy of Brooklyn.
