Greek Orthodox Wedding in NYC | Angela & Nick

There are wedding days that feel intimate and quiet, and then there are wedding days that feel like true events. Angela and Nick’s celebration was very much the latter — an unforgettable day full of tradition, elegance, family, and the kind of energy only New York can bring.

Our team split up in the morning, with one group heading to Nick and his groomsmen, while the other joined Angela with her bridesmaids and family. Nick’s prep time was filled with laughter, jokes, and the easy camaraderie that comes with longtime friends. Sharp suits, polished shoes, and a rooftop view of the city made the perfect backdrop for portraits that were equal parts stylish and candid. Meanwhile, Angela’s suite was buzzing with excitement. Makeup brushes moved quickly, champagne glasses clinked, and the room was full of anticipation. Between her bridesmaids, her family, and her own radiant energy, it was clear this day was going to be special. As their NYC wedding photographer, we focused on these unscripted moments: a laugh during hair and makeup, a parent’s proud smile, the calm before the big ceremony.

When it was time, everyone made their way to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a breathtaking setting for Angela and Nick’s vows. The church, with its ornate details and timeless atmosphere, felt majestic — the perfect place for their traditional ceremony. Family and guests filled the space with reverence and joy as the rituals unfolded. The grandeur of the cathedral framed the couple beautifully, and as they finally stepped outside, a shower of white rose petals rained down. It was a moment straight out of a movie — celebratory, romantic, and visually unforgettable.

After the ceremony, we headed to Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum. The architecture and gardens provided a refined backdrop for portraits with family and friends, as well as intimate moments with just Angela and Nick. This location was perfect for balancing the grandeur of the ceremony with softer, more personal images. Every corner offered another scene worthy of timeless wedding photography.

The celebration continued at Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Courses, a venue known for its expansive grounds and ability to host unforgettable wedding receptions. Cocktail hour buzzed with conversation and laughter as guests shared stories and sipped drinks under the evening sky. Soon, everyone moved into the reception space for dinner, heartfelt speeches, and the kind of joyful atmosphere that makes a wedding day unforgettable. And then the dancing began. From traditional dances to modern beats, the floor was packed all night. Angela and Nick’s friends and family brought boundless energy, and we were there to capture every twirl, every laugh, every wild and beautiful moment.

As a team of NYC wedding photographers and planners, we’ve documented many celebrations — but Angela and Nick’s wedding felt like a perfect mix of tradition and modern energy. From the solemn beauty of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, to the elegance of Bartow-Pell Mansion, to the electric party at Split Rock Golf Courses, every part of their day was thoughtfully designed. For couples planning a New York wedding, Angela and Nick’s celebration shows just how versatile the city can be. It’s a place where you can honor tradition, embrace elegance, and still throw the kind of party your guests will never forget. We were honored to be their photographers, and we’ll always remember the way this day felt: full of love, laughter, and moments that mattered.
