Sydney and Gregory joined us for a relaxed one-hour engagement session in Central Park, one of the most iconic places in New York City to celebrate this exciting chapter before the wedding day.
We met in the late afternoon and wandered through the park around Bethesda Terrace and Bethesda Fountain, taking advantage of the beautiful golden-hour light as the sun slowly dipped behind the trees. The park was full of summer energy, and every corner offered another timeless New York backdrop for their engagement photos.
Rather than focusing on posed portraits, we let the session unfold naturally. Sydney and Gregory laughed, walked hand in hand, and simply enjoyed being together while we captured the genuine moments between them. Those authentic interactions always create the photographs that couples treasure most.
As the sunset light filtered through the trees, Bethesda Terrace became even more magical. The historic architecture, stone arches, and peaceful atmosphere gave the entire gallery an elegant and romantic feel that perfectly matched the couple’s connection.
One of the best parts of this session was knowing that it was only the beginning of their story with us. We would also have the privilege of photographing their wedding, making these engagement photos the first chapter of a much bigger journey. Engagement sessions are always a wonderful opportunity for couples to become comfortable in front of the camera while creating meaningful memories before the wedding day arrives.
Sydney and Gregory made every moment effortless, and spending the evening exploring Central Park with them reminded us why it’s one of our favorite locations for engagement photography in New York City.
We can’t wait to share their wedding story next—it was just as beautiful and unforgettable as this evening in Central Park.
